A Fortune Cookie Reveals the Truth

While cleaning out my desk the other day, I ran across this fortune that I found inside a cookie at a Chinese restaurant several years ago.  I was shocked when I got it.  Perhaps because it wasn’t the normal Confucianist blather or uplifting or inspirational in any way.  Or maybe I was surprised because I feared it was true and a well-known fact . . .

It took the place of my previous favorite Chinese fortune . . .
