Excellent point.  I had not tried it since my Linksys router is running DD-WRT and I&#039;ve always done DDNS from there.  A great heads up, though.  Like you say, you want the router there in any case.

		<description>Last I heard the Axis DDNS was pretty useless... if you pushed a button it would update the Axis DNS for that one time only. Axis will not monitor your IP address to update DDNS when the DSL or cable IP changes. To have a working DDNS, you need to get a reliable DDNS client (newest Linksys routers work best) and go with a commercial DDNS provider like TZO. Course you want a router in front of the camera *anyways*, so you don&#039;t have Internet fools port scanning it... just remember to forward the ports on the Linksys so the Axis viewing ports are web accessible.</description>
