Whoa! Right on the heels of the award to OnMac for being the first people to get XP to boot on a new Intel Macintosh, Apple introduces its own solution, Boot Camp. Downloadable as a beta now, apparently it’ll be included in the next version of OSX.
Of course, I’d much rather see OSX booting on a PC – faster machines,
more flexible architecture, more third-party options, broader hardware
support – but OSX supports such a limited subset of motherboards and
add-ons that it’s likely I’d never be able to boot it on any particular
machine anyway.
