Patriots Move to 4-1 on the Season – It hasn’t Been Pretty

Well, it’s been pretty ugly, but the Pats are now at 4-1 for the season.  They beat Miami 20-10 today, but it could have gone either way.  Three turnovers by Miami certainly was the difference in the game.

Last week’s win at Cincinnati looked brilliant, but the other 4 games this year have all been painful to watch.  It’s not clear that the Patriots excel at any part of the game.  Perhaps their adequacy in all parts lets them take advantage of other team’s weaknesses in some areas.

It’s going to be a long season.  I’m buying a whole case of Maalox.

  • Hey Jon, thanks for the comment.

Yeah, that Jets games was wild - Manning showed his usual brilliance, though.  Yesterday's game was weird.  I lost a bet - I had taken indy with 18 points.  Only one point against the Titans.  Whew!

I expect the Colts to beat up on the Pats.  I will be at the game - with a pocket full of Rolaids.

I agree about the Maalox! I'm a Colts fan. The Colts are 5 - 0 but none of the wins has been decisive. Nearly every one of their games this season could have gone the other way. I notice the image of the Pats championship banners and hope Indy will have one soon. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Colts-Patriots battle in a few weeks.
